Clayworks Instructors and Guest Artists

Clayworks instructors are experienced professional potters eager to share their knowledge and passion. Because of contacts in the pottery community, they are often able to bring in talented guest artists to provide a class with fresh insight and inspiration.

Susan Beecher: Guest Artist

Susan Beecher has given several workshops at Clayworks. Susan is a professional studio potter, whose work has been displayed in numerous shows throughout the country. Her altered functional pieces, delightfully whimsical at times, appeal to the senses for their underlying structure, along with colorful and creative decoration. Susan has achieved many amazing results with her wood-fired kiln at her studio in upstate New York. She is also currently the Head of Ceramics at the Sugar Maples Center for Arts and Education in the Catskills.
