Adult Pottery Classes
Classes and workshops require registration and payment is due
at the time of registration. Look over the class descriptions
and schedule at Roberson Museum and Science Center Public Programs
and then call Roberson at 772-0660, extension 250 to register.
Cost of a class includes studio time outside of class, glazes, and firings (electric, gas, and Raku).
Beginning Pottery Classes
The student builds a solid foundation in wheel throwing and
the basics of hand building. Class is geared for the student
with no clay experience or for those who have taken a class and
would like to continue to improve their skills.
The entire ceramic process will be covered, including glazing and firing
techniques. Students benefit from taking this class more than once.
No previous clay experience is necessary.
Intermediate and Advanced Pottery Classes
Take your simple forms and combine them into more
intricate and unique pieces. Advanced forms including platters, lids, teapots,
vases as well as design ideas and surface treatments are be covered.
Wheel throwing experience is required.
